I'm more interested these days on the "electrical noisyness" of the motors and the ease, or difficulty in tuning with different motors. We are also starting to get limited by the amount of motor electrical noise that the gyro's on our flight controllers can tolerate. On my latest build, I have fitted 5 extra capacitors with a total of 14g to my quad just to control the amount of electrical noise.

If you're having to add that much capacitance to your system then my guess is you are having other issues rather than just noisy motors. I'm running some of the most powerful (and traditionally considered noisy) motors out there with minimal damping on the FC and almost no capacitance without issues. A lot of the noise issues are a result of inductance in the wiring and gyro issues rather than the motors themselves. For instance, any flight controller with a built in PDB is much more likely to have noise issues due to proximity of the high inductance portions of the board to the low voltage electronics.
