There have been a few various motors from AOKFly across the bench, and I've always been impressed with the build quality.  Traditionally though, AOKFly has focused more on smoothness and efficiency than power.  This pro line of motors seems to be an attempt to add that power to their repertoire.  The build quality is on par with their previous motors, with some really nice machining and finish quality as well as excellent fit tolerances. The design is a bit different from their recent RV series motors, with fins that extend a bit more, and more divisions around the bell, but otherwise quite similar. The design retains the hollow steel shaft, retaining screw, and arc magnets, though it returns to multi-strand windings rather than the thick single wire winds of the RV series. The thinner windings combined with the enclosed top of the bell may have a slight negative impact on heat handling, but shouldn't be dramatic.  The motor comes in a tad heavy for a 2205 at just over 28g with 40mm of wire, but still reasonable compared to many of the 30+g motors on the market.  Taken as a whole this is a very reasonable offering from AOKFly.

With AOKFly's propensity towards smooth and efficent rather than powerful motors, I was curious to see how this would do. AOKFly told me when they sent these motors that they were inteded to fill the power nitch of the market, so I was particularly interested in the results.  The results definitely back up their intentions.  The Kv tested a bit lower than stated, coming in at around 2600kv rather than 2650kv, but that seems on par for most manufacturers.  The power output is on par with other powerful 2205 motors in this range, easily reaching 1400g on the heavy 5" props only in the mid 30A range.  The power is a bit short of some of the 2205 powerhouse motors, falling abotu 50g less on light weight props and bit more on the heavier props, but the difference is not dramatic and the current draw is porportionately less.  Overall this is a solid performer from AOKFly, and I hope to see more in this range from them.
