T-Motor F80 2408 2200kv

Tested KV:2135kv
Weight:42g
Stator W:24mm
Stator H:8mm
The T-Motor F series of motors has put out some impressive performance over the last few months with the advent of the F Pro line as well as the earlier F40II revisions.  This F80 is an aboslutely monster, with a massive stator size of 2408 and a beefy 42g weight to go with it.  This motor is interesting because the large size and weight put it more into a class that can be considered for flying wings almost more than mini-quads.  The same typical quality of the F series of motors applies here, with the high strength magnets and insanely tight air gap.  The F80 is missing the silver plated windings of the Pro line, but pretty much everything else is here: very smooth running, beautiful machining, and tight tolerances.  My only complaint about these motors is the weight. 42g definitely limits their application in the mini-quad scene, but the relatively low KV of this particular motor makes it ideal for 280 class rigs on high voltage where the weight won't be a significant issue.

The most striking thing about this motor is its efficiency.  Given the KV tested at just under 2140kv, that's not a major surprise.  It produced some very high thrust numbers, even on the heavier 5" props at remarkably low current draw, easily clearing 1300g at around 27A on several props (about 3A lower than is typical on 2206/2207 motors).  Even on the monstrous 6x4.5x3 prop it barely cleared 42A, but it pulled over 1900g of thrust. This motor could easily handle 7" props on a larger frame.  The torque this motor produces is pretty incredible.  Overall a very strong perfromer form T-Motor, though the weight definitely narrows it's potential appications.
